The Emily Adams Show- Podcast Interview

This was my favorite podcast interview I’ve done! It was a privilege to be on Emily’s podcast. At 17 years old, Emily left the Amish community and quickly realized how believing in herself was paramount when there wasn’t anyone else to support her. We dive into the conversation of Religion vs. spirituality, spiritual stereotypes, and how to start a spiritual practice if you are new to this.

Meet Ashton Saldana - author and founder of “Soulace Seeker”, a blog focused on relationships, travel, spirituality, and women empowerment.

In this episode, Emily and Ashton explore what spirituality means to them. Apart from the “woo woo woman” stereotype that often follows spirituality, Ashton encourages followers to go inward and find what gives us joy, so that we can say - I am happy with how I lived my one life.

Make sure to tune in as Ashton discusses how tragedy fueled her to make a difference and shares her top tools for healing.

KEY POINTS:

Ashton’s journey to spirituality How to turn pain into power The difference between spirituality versus religion  Benefits of gratitude journaling and meditation  The inspiration behind Ashton’s two books

QUOTABLES:

“Go inward, really, and find what is going to make you the happiest, most positive, and live a fulfilling life. Because I feel like a lot of us are living too small. And we forget that we only have one life.”

“We have the power in our mind to change everything.”
