Pepper the Pop Up
I obsessed and visualized over a vintage trailer for years; it made its appearance on my vision board and I constantly would look up DIY hacks for a camper remodel and would google online ones potentially for sale in the bordering states. Well, this week my dream came true and I found my girl! During a late-night internet rabbit hole, I found this 1978 Coleman Pop Up Camper about 45 minutes from me. The photos looked great, the ad was very detailed answering every question I had, and the seller was responsive and friendly. I made arrangements to go and check it out the following day. I instantly knew it was the one. Ramona and Jaime were the most genuine couple and I loved their vibe. We settled on a deposit and that I would go by at the end of the week to pick it up (I just needed to rent a truck and find out where the hell I was going to store her.) My lovely neighbor allowed me to have his driveway for the weekend so I could work on my cosmetic changes inside. For a 43-year-old, she is in damn good shape so not much was needed besides my personal flair. I’ve worked tirelessly over the past 24 hours and happy to say I am enjoying every sore muscle on my body because it is a reminder of all the hard work I’ve done, and the reminder I am fortunate enough to physically be able to. There are still some more changes to be done like exterior paint, but as of now, we are ready to go on an adventure! I’ve been on a high all weekend and then life continued to get better. My permanent storage area is quite far away, so I wanted something local so I have easy access to taking a last-minute road trip. My good friend’s mom came to the rescue. As a matter of fact, she was the amazing soul I did my first “Powerful Woman” article on. I am so happy right now that literally everything keeps falling into place and I am welcoming more wonderful things to continue to join me!
