Luxury Hotels, Making Connections, and THIN Crust Pizza!
This past week entailed a lot of writing since submission deadlines for my articles with The Florentine were due but I still managed to socialize and eat amazing food!
EXPERIENCES:
Villa la Massa- villalamassa.com
This 5-star luxury hotel situated around the hills of Chianti is absolutely breathtaking and their hospitality is superb. I went for a special evening, L’Oliveto Summer Lounge for a prix fixe menu featuring artisanal pizza and craft beer pairings. Can we take a moment to appreciate this beautiful hotel bar!
WORK:
Check out the “Read/Listen” section under Blog Articles on my site. I have uploaded some inspirational videos to help keep you motivated!
I hosted my first event in Firenze: Solo Female Travelers. It was a success, uniting women from America, Italy, Germany, and Romania and building a community on the empowerment of traveling alone. The event was held at one of my favorite wine bars in my neighborhood, Tuscan Taste. You receive a card to insert into the machine and you can select a tasting, half glass, or a full pour of specialty wines. The ladies loved this concept and we enjoyed charcuterie boards while induldging in great conversations!
FOOD:
My favorite eats this week was this porcini mushroom, black truffle, and ricotta pizza from Antica Porta and ricotta e fuchi (ricotta and fig) gelato!
WHAT’S COMING UP:
This week I am honored to participate in #Letturaday- it is an initiative in Italy to promote reading aloud every Thursday. The Association of Italian Independent Publishers emphasizes the importance of the voice- it connects us to others. Helps, heals, and unites us. With our voices, we sing, narrate, explain, and can read to others.
I will be reading Live and you can catch it on youtube:
