My Summer Travels

Since during the past three summers I’ve been to the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, and Sweden traveling looks A LOT different for me this time around, but the urge to get out and explore just didn’t stop because everything else in the world seemed to. Instead of international cities I’ve been exploring the beauty we have in our own backyard and even if it’s just a few hours from home, it is the perfect way to reset and rejuvenate. Below are the 3 trips I’ve taken since the start of quarantine:

Sedona, AZ

Sedona is a great choice for those wanting to really see the outdoors! There are many hikes, trails, and viewing points open to the public. Plus, it is also one of the most spiritually charged cities we have in the United States so the opportunity to participate in metaphysical healings is abundant. I suggest picking a hike to your comfort level so you can really appreciate the red rock scenery and experience their well-known vortex spots which promote healing and inspiration, then checking out one of the many spiritual shops you’ll see once driving through town on route 179. I went and got my Aura photographed at a place called Center for the New Age- the lady was super sweet and had a very alluring energy.

Palm Springs, CA

Literally the perfect getaway if you want some major R&R with old Hollywood glam (If you can tolerate temperatures in the 100’s). My day consisted of laying poolside tucked away from the chaos without a care in the world. There are so many boutique hotels with dining onsite, which is even better because you never need to leave the premises. I will admit, it did feel really good actually getting dressed up for once and enjoying a nice dinner out!

Big Bear, CA

This trip falls somewhere in between the two; you are situated in nature but have the necessities to cook and shower right inside your own tiny cabin. Some might recall my post “Off the Grid” when I was in New Hampshire. Getaway has now expanded and has multiple locations but still the same atmosphere allowing you to truly disconnect.

Even if you are just leaving the confines of your home for one night, it will be worth it!
